That’s where Kincrome can help. When we got our hands on the three ready-made EVA trays from Kincrome Bluesteel we were in tool kit storage heaven. We looked at quality, storage, strength and safety features and outline what you get with each kit.
Here’s how our test run went.

What is it?
A chest tool kit that comes stacked with 256 pieces across five EVA trays.
Who is it for?
Tradies working within their workshop or garage, and mechanics.
What are the key features?
Not only does this provide professional and trade-quality tools, but the chest really packs a punch when it comes to durability and strength. It comes with an automatic drawer retention system and a UV protected powder-coat finish. Your tools are also safe and secure inside a heavy gauge steel chest which is fully lockable with two keys, so you can feel peace of mind, as nobody wants to come out to find their tools knocked off in the morning.
Is it any good?
Pros: This compact five-tray design houses 256 pieces that are kept in place through the larger “Big Grip” aluminium drawer grips. Overall, it’s easy to store within your workshop or garage. A comprehensive screwdriver range is always a welcome addition, too.
Cons: This is a chest-only option and remains stationary. Weighing in at 67kg, the chest isn’t easy to shift around your workshop, so bear that in mind if you’re always on the move.

What are the key features?
This workshop kit comes with a range of features, including automatic retention drawers, 45mm ball bearing slide drawers, heavy duty locking castors and a UV-protected powder-coat finish.
This is a serious tool kit for serious work; it has huge storage capacity and thanks to the wheels and heavy-duty locking castors, you have a fully mobile tool kit that will follow you around your workshop (you will need to push/pull it, though – it won’t actually follow you…). And there’s more than enough space for all your hand tools, with 14 drawers included.
Is it any good?
Pros: It’s a chest and trolley combo, meaning you can store everything together, but also detach the top chest (if you’re on the move and don’t need to bring everything with you) and keep the rest of the trolley in position. Not only can it house an all-jobs-covered list of tools, but the trolley’s wheels make it a tradie’s dream, as it can be easily manoeuvred within your workshop, ensuring your tools are always close at hand.
Cons: Moving this through smaller, more crowded workshops could prove tricky, but you can detach and just take the top chest with you.
