Create a striking, contemporary aesthetic with Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding, with its wide grooves and bespoke design flexibility.
A fresh slant on a modern home design
Hardie™ Oblique™ is Cladding the only Hardie™ exterior cladding with a slanted groove edge, delivering highlights and shadows. This cladding is similar in appearance to standing seam metal cladding and is an easy-to-install fibre cement solution.
The 14mm thick shiplap boards are available in 200mm and 300mm widths and allow for simple alternation or unique combinations. The boards are primed and ready to paint.
Features and benefits
Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding does not require specialist installers, which helps to reduce the number of Tradies onsite and the complexity of the installation.
For vertical installation, 2750mm lengths suit common wall heights, which can help reduce waste. For tall walls, 4200mm lengths give a continuous look, reducing the need for horizontal joints.
Hardie™ Oblique™ Cladding is deemed non-combustible – up to 60-minute Fire Resistance Level (FRL) can be achieved when installed as part of the Hardie™ Smart Fire & Acoustic Wall System. It also adheres to Bushfire Attack Level (BAL) requirements up to BAL40.
Grooves – 23mm wide and 6mm, with the option to place the oblique edge to the left or right.
Highlights – When orientated northwards, the slanted edge creates depth and elevation.
Width – 200mm or 300mm wide, with 175mm or 275mm groove spacing.
Colour – Supplied primed for the paint colour of your choice.
Versatility – Install vertically or horizontally. Re-clad existing homes or use from the ground up for a new build or extension.
Innovation – Our innovative Hardie™ Castellated Batten method makes vertical installation and bespoke arrangements easy. There is a non-structural horizontal timber batten for cavity construction and the grooves provide drainage and ventilation. Use with Hardie™ Oblique™ and Stria™ Cladding shiplap boards in a vertical orientation.
