Durable, cost-effective and easy to use, travertine pavers are a great option for landscaping projects.

Natural stone pavers are a great option for any outdoor space: they’re durable, affordable and look fantastic!

Travertine pavers are great examples of natural stone, with a rustic yet refined aesthetic. Their soft and light appearance makes them a great choice for outdoor entertaining areas and terraces.

These cost-effective pavers are small enough to work with easily (they’re 610 x 406 x 30m thick), yet big enough to cover a large space quickly.

Suitable for Australian weather

It’s essential that outdoor areas are built to withstand Australia’s climate. Travertine pavers can adapt to extreme temperatures and will stay cool underfoot, even during hot summer days. This is because the natural composition works to transfer the heat or cool into the soil underneath or into the atmosphere, keeping the paver at a stable temperature.

If you’re doing a landscape job in a place that experiences chills or even freezing temperatures, you’ll appreciate the vertical capillary action that allows moisture to escape, as this makes them slip-resistant and freeze-proof.

Durable pavers

Outdoor areas need materials that can withstand whatever we throw at them. Travertine is two to three times stronger than concrete, having been compressed for many years, so it will survive years of use. These types of tiles are also resistant to mould, mildew, environmental grime and the impact of sunlight, reducing the chance of discolouration or fading over time.

Tip: Make sure you use a non-penetrol based sealant, which will allow the travertine to breathe, resulting in the longevity of the stone.
