Case study: Discovery Parks – Nagambie Lakes

The story so far

In October 2022, devastating floods ripped through Victoria, causing extensive damage to multiple towns and thousands of homes. Lake Nagambie was one of the affected areas, and its surrounding parks were severely impacted by the flooding, including Discovery Parks – Nagambie Lakes, a well-loved holiday park known for its scenic views and family-friendly activities. The site needed to be closed for rebuilding due to the destruction.

This had a significant negative impact on the community, as the park was a vital tourist attraction and source of income for many residents. To aid in the rebuilding process, the park partnered with Bunnings Trade. Rebuilding and restoration are currently underway, with the park set to reopen in December 2023.

An existing partnership

In 2019, Discovery Parks – Nagambie Lakes established a strategic partnership with Bunnings Trade. Bunnings Trade provided all of the necessary materials for the rebuilding process, including soft furnishings, building materials, and more. It also provided functional designs for the park's needs and essential items for the reconstruction, including kitchens, shower bases, plaster, and tapware.
