Do you have any old power tool batteries lying around your truck or garage collecting dust? Until 30 June, you can trade in any 18V power tool battery for $50 off selected twin pack batteries. In addition, we’ll recycle the old batteries for you.
Safety tip: Always wear the appropriate safety equipment (safety glasses, gloves, ear muffs and a mask, for example) and always follow the instructions for the product or equipment.
For a limited time, you can head in-store and trade in your old 18V power tool batteries for $50 off selected twin pack batteries.
Simply bring old batteries to the Tool Shop desk in-store. They can be any brand of 18V power tool battery, including brands that we don’t stock. When you drop off your 18V battery and purchase any of the selected trade twin pack batteries, you’ll get $50 off your purchase.
This offer runs from 6 May to 30 June. Please note that this offer is applicable to the six selected twin pack batteries only and cannot be redeemed on other products in store.
Only one trade in can be applied per twin pack battery purchase. (This means you can’t stack discounts on one twin battery pack.) However, you’ll be able to get discounts on multiple twin packs – one per battery that you trade in. For example, if you want to purchase three Makita twin packs and get $50 off each pack, all you’ll need to do is trade in three old 18V power tool batteries.
If the twin pack battery you want isn’t stocked in-store or is temporarily out-of-stock, don’t worry – our Team Members will help you process a special order including the trade in discount, or they’ll direct you to a nearby Bunnings Warehouse that has your preferred item available.

Along with a fantastic tax time discount, you’ll be doing some good. Did you know that 95 percent of a battery’s components can be reused? We will recycle your old batteries and give them a new lease on life. They will be repurposed or recycled into new batteries, or they will be used by other industries. This deal is a win-win for you and the environment.
